Leeds has a buzzing nightlife and a fantastic array of cosmopolitan restaurants. You can experience most types of dining cultures within the centre ranging from simplistic to gourmet. You can find an excellent Thai restaurant such as Chaophraya with its fantastic ambience and relaxing bar. You can experience the delights of Crafthouse restaurant with the Angelica wine bar for drinks or the buzzing and vibrant atmosphere of Alchemist with its modern food and fantastic cocktail menu all in the Trinity centre within walking distance from the train station.
On the music scene you can hear jazz in the Wardrobe, bands at O2 Academy and the doors will open in 2013 at the new First Direct Arena with many big headliners already being announced. Millennium Square hosts a variety of events including food festivals, ice rink and live-link sports events shown on the big screen surrounded by many bars and restaurants.
There are some beautiful parks such as Roundhay, Temple Newsam and Golden Acre with plenty of walks around the area.
Centrally located Leeds is a great base to tour the surrounding Yorkshire attractions.

TRAVEL AND TRANSPORT
Train: There are great public transport networks to Leeds. Leeds is accessible by train from London by the East Coast Mainline Rail service in 2 hrs 15 mins.
You can fly with British Airways direct to Heathrow from Leeds Bradford Airport which houses an impressive new airport lounge for business users.

ABOUT Ambassador: MARION LOWRENCE
Marion is a multi-award winning PA winning both ‘Yorkshire PA of the Year’ and runner up ‘PA of the Year’ for Executive PA Magazine both in 2011. Marion won Pitman Training ‘PA of the Year’ in the national Super Achiever awards in November 2012.
Marion has worked in various administration and management roles over the last 28 years. This has included working for the Civil Service and the NHS before joining Yorkshire Universities as a senior PA in the higher education sector.
Marion has presented to various groups of PAs in the UK and overseas; most recently in Moscow. Marion loves to network both in person and through social media. She started an internal network for the senior PAs in Yorkshire’s universities which proved very successful. This success has led her to start her own business with a separate independent network, The PA Hub (www.thepahub.co.uk), aimed at all PAs in the Yorkshire region as she continues to promote the profession.
Marion has various clients which she works with on a freelance basis and her roles include hotel inspecting, event planning and she organised the first PA day within the Conference and Hospitality Show in Leeds in April 2013.
